GENERAL INFORMATION:
Parties are scheduled either Saturday or Sunday at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m.
Party Length: 1.5 hours
INCLUDED IN PARTY:
 Animal Encounter - Live animal presentation with 2 to 3 animals from our Zoo Ventures department. Select from: Cute and Fuzzy, Prehistoric, Birds of a Feather and Party Animals.
Admission into the Zoo - Upon completion of the party the party participants can enjoy the zoo if they desire to do so. Operating Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5p.m.
Party Decorations
Room rental for 1.5 hours
Beverages - water for the adults and fruit punch for the children
Party Basics- candles, paper plates, forks, napkins cups
Game - An age appropriate game or activity is available such as "Investigative Play," "Animal Charades" or "Pin the Tentacle on the Octopus!"
Zoo Gift - A gift to the birthday child.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
The zoo does not provide a birthday cake or food. You may bring your own birthday cake and/or food to your 1.5-hour party in the zoo school, however outside food and beverages are not allowed into the zoo. Advance notification of participants is required. If your number of participants goes over the pre-determined amount the next price range will apply.
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
Inform your guests to meet outside the Zoo School Campus 15 minutes prior to the scheduled party time, this will ensure that your guests will arrive on time. The instructor will meet your group and escort them into the party room.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED INTO THE ZOO
When the party is over we do ask that you bring the gifts and cake to your car.
FULL payment is required 3 weeks in advance. If payment is not received 3 weeks in advance your party will be canceled.
Cancellation of a party must be made 14 days in advance to ensure a FULL refund. If a cancellation is not made 14 days in advance then you will receive a 50% refund.
If you want to give goodie bags to your guests this must be done when you exit the Zoo. This is for the safety of the animals.
There is a $150.00 non-refundable deposit to hold your date and time (deposit is deducted from your final payment)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. What kinds of animals are available for the "animal encounter"?
All of the animals used for our Birthday Parties come from our Zoo Ventures Department. We have a wide variety of animals that may be available for your party. These animals include reptiles like snakes, skinks, turtles, etc. We also have a variety of birds that include different parrots, owls, a kestrel, etc. We do have mammals available for parties as well. These animals include a rabbit, a kinkajou, opossum, etc. We cannot promise that any individual animal will be available. Please note that like people, animals sometimes have a bad day and on these days will not be available.
2. Can the children hold the animals?
No, the instructor is the only person that can hold the animals. They will however, let everyone come to see it up close, and depending on the animal, let the children touch it.
3. How much does the party cost?
The cost of the party is based upon how many people will be attending, (adults and children COMBINED). See the table above for a full list of Member and Non-Member rates.
