PYGMY RATTLESNAKE
(Sistrurus miliarus barbouri)
Range:  
Habitat: Lakes and marshes, palmetto pine flatwoods, sandhills, cypress ponds, and mixed pine hardwood forests.
Diet: Lizards, small snakes, mice and occasionally insects

Their tiny rattle makes a buzzing sound that is audible for only a few feet. Record longevity exceeds 15 years.
