| Reproduction: | 1-2 pale brown/pink spectacled eggs incubated by the female for 18 days. The males must use elaborate courtship displays, such as hanging upside down while flapping their wings, to attract a female each year, because Bird of Paradise are not monogamous (they do not mate for life). It can take up to 7 years for the birds to mature into their full plumage. |
