LORIKEET LANDING
Range: Indonesia to Australia
Habitat: They thrive in a variety of habitats
Diet: Their uniquely adapted tongue is covered with brush-like projections, enabling Lories to feed on nectar, pollen, and fruit.

Lories and Lorikeets are among the most unique members of the parrot family, and are known for their beautiful plumage and unusual feeding techniques. Lories are typically very noisy and social, and may be found rooting in large flocks. Loss of habitat and over-collecting for the pet trade contribute to the declining numbers of some species.
