There is always something exciting going on at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in 2008 with a series of special events and activities.  From daytime events like Enrichment Day to wild nighttime events like Zoofari, there is something for everyone.  All fundraising events support animal care and education programs at the Zoo, a nonprofit organization committed to excellence in conservation, education and research.

Advance tickets MUST be purchased a minimum of 5 days prior to your visit.  Tickets will be placed in Will Call at the Zoo's ticket windows.  Please present photo ID to pick up tickets. Tickets are valid for daytime admission only, expire one year from the date of purchase and are nonrefundable.   Tickets purchased less than 5 days prior to your visit will not be guaranteed to be available for pick up.

In honor of Mother’s Day, moms receive FREE admission with the purchase of a full-priced child's admission ticket. (Child's ticket must be purchased on May 11 only. Offer not combinable with other discounts.)

Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2008!  On the 20th day of most months (see details below), the Zoo will offer discounted admission and special offers as a thank you to the community it serves.  Admission to the Zoo on anniversary days will be “2 tickets for $20” (ages 3 & up, 2 and under are always free) with $2 specials in food, gift and rides.  The Zoo is extending these special anniversary offers on May 20, June 20, August 20, September 20, October 20 and November 20.  (Exceptions: July and December are excluded due to other previously scheduled special events).

Memorial Day at the Zoo

Monday, May 26 from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

In honor of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, any active duty, activated, retired or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to free admission on May 26, 2008 (Memorial Day). He or she will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo ticket counter. As many as three direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to free admission. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minor dependents.

Summer Safari Night

Friday, June 6 from 5-8:30 p.m.

The Zoo stays open late with FREE rides after 5 p.m.  Guests can also enjoy special animal encounters, live entertainment and food and beverages from all the Zoo’s restaurants and snack stands.  The Summer Safari Nights series is included in regular Zoo admission prices and is free for Zoo Pass holders.

GATOR FALLS Grand Opening Celebration

Saturday, June 7

Be one of the first to hop in a log and experience the new Gator Falls water flume ride within the Lykes Florida Wildlife Center.  Float down the “river” and explore native Florida with a 30-foot drop over a pair of white “albino” alligators.  Special gift to the first 500 guests.  Event details coming soon!
