Join us at the "Zoo School" for a fun and exciting field trip experience!
Choose from dynamic auditorium programs or interactive classroom programs for an "EdZOOcational" adventure!
Choose from a wide range of themes including Manatees, Rainforest, Africa, Australia, Florida Wildlife, and more! Programs last approximately 45 minutes to 1-hour and include a close and personal animal encounter.
All programs integrate Sunshine State Standards and will help students meet their FCAT benchmarks. Programs available for grades K-12. For the ultimate field trip, be sure to add a Behind-the Scenes tour of the zoo or a guided Eco boat tour along the scenic Hillsborough River.

Adult Continuing Education Classes
Become an animal expert! The Zoo is excited to offer NEW adult continuing education classes. Gain in-depth knowledge about the Zoo's exotic animal collection through activities such as educational talks, animal encounter or enrichment and a guided tour through the theme-specific area(s) of the Zoo. At the end of the class you will receive a certificate of completion and access to the Zoo. Discount tickets are available to purchase for friends and family.

• Cost: Zoo Pass Holders $15/ Non- Zoo Pass Holders $25
• Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Adult Hands on Experiences
Come see what your kids are talking about! Join our new Adult Continuing Education Classes that give you a chance to get up close and personnel with our animals. Each class includes an hour long learning session, lunch, and hands on animal experience you won’t forget!

Zoo Keeping 101
Saturday, March 20
Learn about the Zoo’s exotic animal collection and work side by side with our keepers. This class will get you “knee deep” in animal information!
Animal Handling and Presentation
Saturday, May 15
Learn about why conservation and saving animals is so important to people and the planet. Then put your knowledge to the test and educate our Zoo guests while handling some of our animal ambassadors – from owls to armadillos and everything in between.
