Zoo School Summer Camp Early Registration Day
Saturday, March 13 - ONLINE ONLY 

Take advantage of a one-day only sale on summer camp programs for K-8th grade students. Register online and save 15 percent on more than 100 week-long camps where kids can experience the wild side of summer! Kids can learn about nature, science and the animal kingdom “outside the classroom” while hiking through the Zoo, exploring behind-thescenes and hands-on interaction. Online registration opens March 13, 2010 at 12:01 a.m. and closes at 11:59 p.m.

Orangutan Egg Hunt

Watch the Zoo’s orangutans have some Easter fun with their own egg hunt, an annual treat for the primates and Zoogoers. The egg hunt is included free-of-charge with Zoo admission.

Party for the Planet – Enrichment Day
Saturday, April 24 from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Celebrate the living Earth at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo with a day of family fun and discovery. Learn new ways to connect to the environment and make a difference in conservation by spending the day with the animals who share our planet. Enjoy a wide variety of animal enrichment activities, educational displays and exhibits throughout the Zoo. Enrichment Day activities are included with Zoo admission.

Mother's Day at the Zoo

Bring mom to Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo and she gets in for free!  In honor of Mother’s Day, moms receive free admission on May 9 with the purchase of their son’s or daughter’s full-priced admission ticket (paid ticket can be child or adult admission, as applicable).  For moms to receive free ticket offer, the paid ticket must be purchased on May 9 only. Offer not combinable with other discounts.    

Charity Golf Classic at Old Memorial Golf Club
Monday, May 10 - 10:30 a.m. Check-in & lunch, 12:00 Noon Shotgun Start

Take to the course for a cause and join the Zoo for the Charity Golf Classic, at exclusive Old Memorial Golf Club, one of Golf Magazine’s top 100 U.S. courses. The outing features a shotgun start, contests on the course, live auction, raffle drawings, and an awards dinner and banquet.

Visit all your favorite animals at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo and learn about endangered wildlife for just $5 per person.

Park & Ride: Free extra parking is available on $5 Day at the “Tampa Greyhound Track.” Free shuttles will run continuously from Track lot to Zoo’s main gate, between 9AM- 6PM. From I-275, take Exit 49 to Bird Street and go one block east. Park in indicated areas.




Memorial Day at the Zoo
Monday, May 31 from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

In honor of Memorial Day on Monday, May 31, any active duty, activated, retired or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to free admission on that day. He or she will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo ticket counter. As many as three direct dependants of military personnel also are entitled to free admission. Dependants may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minor dependants.


World Oceans Day
Tuesday, June 8 from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Celebrate World Oceans Day with your friends at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo!  The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and its partner organizations are joining forces with Dr. Seuss to create a big splash for World Oceans Day - 2010. Dr. Seuss’s beloved children’s book, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish will be celebrating 50 fun-filled years of entertaining kids around the world. Dr. Seuss’s famous fish, alongside their Zoo and aquarium pals, will help kids and families will get to know funny fish “from here to there” and learn how everyday actions impact their ocean home.

The Zoo stays open late with FREE unlimited rides after 5 p.m., special animal encounters, and great food and drink. Beat the heat and catch a glimpse of exciting nocturnal animals who are active in the evening. Extended hours are included with Zoo admission.

Featured as one of the “10 Great Beer Festivals in the Country” by USA Today, this 15th annual tropical taste explosion features more than 200 beers and beverages from around the world, food sampling from local restaurants, and live music from local artists. The “Beastly Beverage Club” (VIP-level ticket) returns to the Safari Lodge - the only air-conditioned space at WaZoo with early entry at 7p.m. The event is rain or shine. Advance tickets available online or by phone in July, or at the door the night of the event.
