Sunday, May 19 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Visit your favorite animals at the Zoo and learn about endangered wildlife for just $6 admission per person.  Free extra parking is available on $6 day only next to the Tampa Greyhound Track. Free shuttles will run continuously from that lot to the Zoo between 9 a.m.-6 p.m. From I-275, take Exit 49 to Bird Street and go one block East. Park in indicated areas.  

Please note: due to this special discount, Zoo rides are not included with admission on $6 Day. DinoQuest2 is an additional $4 per person.

Memorial Day Military Appreciation
Monday, May 27 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

In honor of Memorial Day, military personnel (active-duty and retirees) are entitled to free admission on that day. The military member will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. As many as three direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to free admission. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minors.


SUMMER TEACHER APPRECIATION OFFER
June 10 - August 16, 2013

Learning comes naturally at the Zoo!  Florida certified teachers are invited to see for FREE this summer!*  The Zoo and its one-of-a-kind Zoo School are offering public and private Florida Certified Teachers from Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties, grades K-12, ONE complimentary daytime admission into the Zoo. Teachers will need to present valid identification (please see below) at the Zoo's main ticket windows for entrance. Additional guests may purchase tickets at the general admission rate. *May not be transferred to any other person. The offer does not include support personnel.  Teachers must present valid professional or temporary FDOE teaching certification, paystub and Florida ID to receive this offer. Father’s Day Weekend (BOGO)
June 15-16 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Zoo is wild about dads – bring yours for free!  In honor of Father’s Day, dads receive free admission on Saturday, June 15 or Sunday, June 16 with the purchase of their son’s or daughter’s full-priced admission ticket (son or daughter can be adult or child ages 3-11). For dads to receive free ticket offer, the son’s or daughter’s paid ticket must be purchased on June 15 or 16 only. Offer not combinable with other discounts.


White Elephant Sale
Saturday, June 29 • 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Zoo Pass Holders-Only Hour 8 a.m. –9 p.m.*

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to shop for an array of collectable and unique items. Browse through the Zoo’s assortment of seasonal and holiday décor from past events like Wild Wonderland and ZooBoo. It’s a Holiday-lovers delight! Shoppers will also have the opportunity to purchase retail fixtures, merchandising supplies and other items only available to the trade. Items may range from a few dollars to several hundred.

Summer Safari Night & Ladybug Release

The Zoo stays open late with free unlimited rides, animal encounters, music and fun with Radio Disney AM 1380 and great food and drink.  Extended hours and activities are included with Zoo admission.

A special activity of a ladybug release is planned to happen during this event.

Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend
July 4-7 • 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Come dressed as your favorite fairytale character for an evening of discovery and fun with frogs. Meet real frogs and toads, and the zookeepers who care for them.

The Zoo stays open late with free unlimited rides, animal encounters, music and fun with Radio Disney AM 1380 and great food and drink.  Extended hours and activities are included with Zoo admission.

Zoo Run Run
Saturday, August 24 • Check-in 6:30 a.m., Race 7:30 a.m.,
Walk 8 a.m., & Fun Run 9:15 a.m.

Join the Zoo for the 11th annual Zoo Run Run, a 5K run that winds through the Zoo and along the scenic Hillsborough River.  Children can enter a special "Fun Run" which follows the 5K.  Registration cost includes admission to the Zoo for the day for the entrant only.  All Early Bird registrants are guaranteed a t-shirt; others available while supplies last. Online registration coming this summer!

They’re back! Discover a limited engagement outdoor exhibit of 22 lifelike and life-size dinosaurs at the Zoo. This dynamic display features dinosaurs ranging from the treacherous Tyrannosaurus to the towering Brachiosaurus that move, blink and roar. Visit these prehistoric pals during the day, take a Zoo School program featuring primitive predators, or have a dynamite time after dark at Dino Nites -- an experience that is sure to unearth some curiosity!  A special attraction fee will apply.

May 24-25 FINAL NIGHTS!

Have a DINO-mite time after dark at Dino Nites, a unique evening experience in the DinoQuest2 exhibit are with access to other amenities like free Zoo rides.  Dino Nites admission is $9.95 per person which includes DinoQuest, free rides and select areas of the Zoo. Dino Nites are FREE for Annual Zoo Pass holders!

Named one of the “10 Great Beer Festivals in the Country” by USA Today, this 18th annual tropical taste explosion features 250 beers and beverages from around the world, food sampling from favorite restaurants, and live music throughout the Zoo. Beat the heat with the “Beastly Beverage Club” (VIP-level ticket) in the Zoo’s the Safari Lodge -- the only air-conditioned space at WaZoo -- with early entry at
6:45 p.m. The Zoo will close at 4 p.m. August 3 for set up of WaZoo, which takes place rain or shine. 
Animals are not on exhibit during the event.

Shriek Peek Preview Weekend

Come creep around ZooBoo at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo -- the largest family Halloween event in Tampa Bay. It’s a ghoulish good time for all. Don’t miss the thrills, chills and family frights with attractions ranging in “scare factor” including haunted houses and trails, Zoo-wide seasonal displays and lights, music, specialty gift shop, night rides and more. For 27 years, the Zoo has served up one of the biggest, tastiest and “wildest” all-inclusive food festivals in the Bay area known as Zoofari. Bring your biggest appetite to this annual feast, only at the Zoo. For one ticket price, guests can go on a sampling safari of the Bay area’s best restaurants, enjoy open bars, browse the “Art Safari” art auction, and dance to live music on multiple stages.
