It’s a Girl - Hip Hippo Hooray!
Saturday, November 1 • 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join us for a baby shower to celebrate our perfectly precious pygmy hippo calf, born in October. Enjoy music and entertainment, sweet treats, special activities, keeper talks and more. This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass members.

Veterans Day Military Appreciation
Tuesday, November 11 • 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

In honor of Veterans Day, military personnel (active-duty, retirees and veterans) receive free Zoo admission on that day. The military member will need to show a Department of Defense photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket windows. As many as three direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to free admission. Dependents may take advantage of the offer without their service member, though an adult must accompany minors.


Presents for Primates
Friday, December 12 • 11 a.m.

Celebrate the season with the Zoo’s primate family!  Watch the primates open special presents from Zoo staff and docents as part of their enrichment program. 

This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass members.

Opens Nightly at 7 p.m.

Come creep around ZooBoo at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo -- the largest family Halloween event in Tampa Bay. It’s a ghoulish good time for all. Don’t miss the thrills, chills and family frights with attractions ranging in “scare factor” including haunted houses and trails, Zoo-wide seasonal displays and lights, music, specialty gift shop, night rides and more. NEW this year – Get goosebumps exploring turn-of-the-century England in “London Frightmare,” the newest haunt inspired by the city’s most notorious sites and supernatural legends. Hours are 7-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 7-10 p.m. on other select nights. Follow ZooBoo on Facebook.

For 28 years, the Zoo has served up one of the biggest, tastiest and “wildest” all-inclusive food festivals in the Bay area known as Zoofari. Bring your biggest appetite to this annual fundraising feast, only at the Zoo. For one ticket price, guests can go on a sampling safari of the Bay area’s best restaurants, enjoy open bars, browse the “Art Safari,” silent auction, and groove to live music throughout the event featuring The Greg Billings Band on the main stage. The VIP Rhino Club, presented by Baldwin Krystyn Sherman Partners, offers early entry and exclusive use of the beautiful Safari Lodge and outdoor plaza. And new this year,
the Rhino Club will also include a Main Stage
VIP lounge area.

It’s going to be brrrr-illiant!  The Zoo transforms into a whimsical world of holiday magic with 16 nights of holiday delights. Meet Santa and his merry mammals – REAL REINDEER, and jump for joy in the Reindeer Games area. More merriment awaits with a million twinkling lights, charming animated displays, Florida “flurries,” free Zoo rides and traditional holiday treats. Wednesday, December 31
9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Ring in the New Year family style at the annual “Noon” Year’s Eve daytime celebration hosted by the Zoo.  The party begins when the Zoo opens with games, arts and crafts, live entertainment, educational displays and more.  Families can ring in the New Year with noisemakers, hats and a juice toast as they watch the clock strike 12 NOON.  This event is included with daytime Zoo admission and is free for Annual Zoo Pass members.
