Asia, India and Africa.

Zebus are often referred to as hump cattle due to the fatty hump located on their upper backs.  Zebus are the smallest species of cattle, which allows them to live comfortably in tropical climates. The Zebus are distinct form most cattle because they have a flap of skin below their jaws, known as a dewlap. Zebus also have long droopy ears and are usually black or gray. There are currently 4 million Zebus living on farms around the world.




Habitat: Tropical jungles and open plains.
Diet: Herbivorous: Grass, seeds, and flowers.
Status: Least Concern.
Approximate Dimensions of Adult: Length: 34-42 in.

Weight: 440 lbs.
Lifespan: 12-16 years.
