The Javan Pond Heron has a yellow bill with a black tip and white wings. This bird’s coloration changes depending on the time of year. During mating season (June to September), its feathers are orange, brown and white. However during the off-season it is usually brown with white speckles.
These birds will usually build one nest and use it year after year instead of building a new nest every mating season.
