Golden-Breasted Starlings are incredibly beautiful birds. Their feathers are metallic green on their backs, bright yellow/gold stomachs, and metallic violet on their wings. The young tend to be dull and grow more vibrant with age. They are very social and live in family groups of 3-12 birds.These birds tend to build their nests in tree holes.





Habitat: Grasslands and savannas
Diet: Insects and termites
Status: Least Concern (IUCN)
Approximate Dimensions of Adult: Length: 12-15 inches
Weight: 45-56 grams
Lifespan: Up to 2 years.
Reproduction & Offspring: 3-5 eggsare laid at a time. 11-13 day incubation period.
