The Black-chinned Fruit Dove is also known as the Black-throated Fruit Dove. The male is colorful; sporting a green body and wings, brown tail feathers, and a white-grey head. Females have a green head and body. Females build nests out of twigs and lay one to two eggs at a time. This bird is very widespread in its large range and is assessed as least concern.
