The Bald Ibis is an extremely endangered bird. The birds used to be found in Europe and North Africa. However, the birds can currently only be seen in Morocco and the Middle East. There decline is due to hunting and the deterioration of their habitat. Major conservation efforts are currently taking place in Morocco and Turkey. The Bald ibis has a red head and a bare black crown. The bird is covered in glossy bluish-purple feathers.
