ZOO TO YOU PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo offers animals that can come out to your facility. Programming can take place indoors or outdoors for large or small audiences.
ADULT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNTIES
AT TAMPA'S LOWRY PARK ZOO
Volunteers provide valuable assistance in almost every area of the Zoo's operations. These committed individuals donate over 40,000 hours a year in a variety of capacities.
TEACHER CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo offers continuing education classes to give tips hands on environmental education experiences in the classroom as well as enhancing your field trip experience.
VIP GUIDED TOURS
Experience the Zoo... VIP style. Get in depth knowledge about our animals and insights into how the Zoo works from a behind-the-scenes point of view. You will get to create an enrichment for one of our wonderful animals.
A perfect gift idea for animal lovers and the someone who has it all! The cost covers enrollment for 1-8 people, so bring friends!
- Ages: 18 & up
- Cost: $120, includes up to 8 adults
- Time: Approx. 1 hour & 10 minutes
- Tours are scheduled 7 days a week.
For Saturday and Sunday tours, please book early. Payment is due two weeks in advance. This program is behind-the-scenes only. It does not include Zoo admission, nor is it required. However, discount tickets are available.

Adult Hands on Experiences
Come see what your kids are talking about! Join our new Adult Continuing Education Classes that give you a chance to get up close and personal with our animals - just like your kids get at our camps! Each class includes an hour long learning session, lunch and a hands-on animal experience that you won't forget!
Program Information:
Ages: 18 and up
Cost: Zoo Pass Holders $65 / Non-Zoo Pass Holders $75
Time: 8:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required no later than 2 weeks prior
Animal Handling and Presentation
Sat., Sept. 19
Learn about why conservation and saving animals is so important to people and the planet. Then put your knowledge to the test and educate our zoo guests while handling some of our animal ambassadors- from owls to alligators and everything in between.
Zoo Keeping 101
Sat., October 17
Learn about the zoo’s exotic animal collection and work side by side with our keepers. This class will get you knee deep in animal information!

STROLLER SAFARIS
Travel the world from the comfort of our Zoo. This amazing adventure is for adults and stroller-age children. Each Wednesday your “Safari Guide” will guide you through various domains of the Zoo. The tour features exciting behind-the-scenes information about Zoo animals, such as animal names and favorite foods. Your “Safari Guide” will focus on particular animals in the Zoo allowing you and your child to gain a closer interaction with that particular animal. This class is great for both parent and child to learn as well as socialize with the animals.
Each class will:
• Meet a special animal friend or give enrichments to a zoo animal
• See and touch biofacts like feathers, shells, fur, bones and owl pelts
• Discover fun facts about animals and nature
• An activity page to take home with fun facts taught that day
Program Information:
No reservation necessary. Walk-ups welcomed.
Ages: all ages
Cost: $5 includes 1 child and 1 adult, an additional charge of $3 for additional children or adults. Payment must be made with cash, check, or Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo tokens (tokens can be purchased at the front gate) to your “Safari Guide”. Meet your “Safari Guide” for an exciting adventure each and every Wednesday at the Manatee Fountain.
Every Wednesday, during the months of June, July and August the program begins at 9:45am and concludes at 10:15am.
