We offer fun and educational badge workshops for both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.
Scout workshops can also be done as a Sleepover!
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo "Zoo Troop" Is Looking For Cub Scouts 1st Grade Through 5th Grade.
If your family is interested in wildlife, helping the environment and participating in activities at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo this would be the Troop for your son to join.

Community Service Learning
Inspire environmental stewardship by having your group meet an animal ambassador, learn about the importance of protecting waterways, and then work together to collect recyclables and trash littering the Lowry Park creek of the Hillsborough River.
Program Information:
• Grades 4th-8th
• 2.5 hours, with 30 minutes included for lunch
• Minimum total of 15 participants, including chaperones
• Maximum total of 40 participants, including chaperones
• $17 per student
• $17 per adult
• 1 FREE chaperone/teacher per 10 students
• Includes Zoo access and pizza lunch.

Sleepovers for Scouts
Your exciting evening will include:
- Animal Encounters
- A Behind-the-Scenes Tour of the Zoo
- Crafts & Activities
- Pizza Snack & Lite Morning Breakfast
Sleepover Fees:
- $35 per participant (1 free chaperone for every 10 participants)
- Minimum of 15 participants required. (Smaller groups may book for a flat rate of $525)
- Must schedule two months in advance.
Extend your Stay:
Extend your visit and stay the day after your sleepover at the Zoo! Enjoy a guided in-Zoo tour from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and then your group may spend the rest of the day in the Zoo on their own.
Additional fee: $10.00 per child & $14.00 per adult.
SPECIAL DISCOUNT: Have your sleepover at the Zoo Sunday – Thursday and receive a $5.00 discount per person! Only $30.00 per participant when your sleepover is held during the week (excludes special event sleepovers).

SLEEPOVER THEMES
Africa :
Experience the animals of Africa at night. Listen to the elephants trumpet while you sleep in the cool Africa Tunnel. Learn about African animals and meet some up close.
Australia:
Learn about Australian culture and meet some of the amazing animals that call "the land down under" home. Bring your swimsuit and enjoy frolicking in the Billabong. Don't forget your towel!
Manatee:
Come see what Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo does to save Florida's gentle giants. Tour our rescue facilities and sleep near the manatees in our air-conditioned Manatee Building.
Nocturnal Adventures:
Join us to learn about the creatures of the night. Stalk and slither your way through the Zoo to see the Nocturnal animals in action. Don't forget your flashlight!
Rainforest:
Awesome and unique animals call the Rainforest home. Join us to take a look at the diverse beings that are part of this one-of-a-kind eco-system.

Juniors: Plants and Animals, Wildlife, Florida Manatee, Eco-Action, Water Wonders, Rocks Rock
Program Information:
Cost: $13 per scout. Minimum of 10 scouts or $130. Chaperone Ratios: 1:6 for Brownies; 1:8 for Juniors. Extra adults $6.50 each.
All Scout Workshops are 2 hours.
A minimum of 2 weeks advance notice is needed to book a workshop.
Workshops do not include admission into the Zoo. Group ticket rates are available so your Scouts can visit the Zoo after the workshop.
(Please note that the Zoo does not provide the actual Scout badge. Contact your local council for information regarding the purchase of the badge.)

Cost: $13 per scout. ($18 for Merit Badge Workshops). Minimum of 10 scouts or $130 ($180 for Merit Badge Workshops). Chaperone Ratios: 1:5 for Cub Scouts and 1:10 for Boy Scouts. Extra adults $6.50 each.
All Scout Workshops are 2 hours, except for Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops, which are
3 hours.
A minimum of 2 weeks advance notice is needed to book a workshop.
