We offer fun and educational badge workshops for both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.
Scout workshops can also be done as a sleepover!

Sleepover-asaurus Rex
Come for the roar, stay for a snore when you sleepover at the Zoo. Venture into DinoNites - a unique nighttime experience of the DinoQuest2 attraction - and discover what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Then visit some of the dinosaurs’ modern day ancestors as you explore the Zoo after dark, have an up-close animal encounter, and tour behind-the-scenes during this sleepover of mammoth magnitude that is perfect for birthdays, school groups, scouts, clubs and organizations.
Your exciting overnight experience will include:
• Up-close encounters with animals
• A behind-the-scenes tour
• Admission into Dino Nites
• Dino crafts/activities
• Pizza snack & light morning breakfast
Program Information:
• Ages: 6 through adult
• $40 per participant (1 free chaperone for every 10 participants)
• $600 flat fee for groups under 15 participants
• Available March-May

Sleepovers for Scouts
Your exciting evening will include:
- Up-close encounters with animals
- Behind-the-scenes tour
- Theme-specific activities/crafts
- Pizza snack & light breakfast
Program Information:
- $35 per participant (1 free chaperone for every 10 participants)
- Minimum of 15 participants required. (Smaller groups may book for a flat rate of $525)
- Schedule 1 month in advance.
Extend your Stay:
Extend your visit and stay the day after your sleepover at the Zoo! Enjoy a guided in-Zoo tour from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and then your group may spend the rest of the day in the Zoo on their own.
Additional fee: $10 per child & $14 per adult.
SPECIAL DISCOUNT: Have your sleepover at the Zoo Sunday – Thursday and receive a $5 discount per person! Only $30 per participant when your sleepover is held during the week (excludes special event sleepovers).

African Safari
Take a nighttime safari through dense forests and wide-open savannas to discover some of the animals of this mysterious continent.
Awesome Australia
G’day, mates! Head to the land down under for an awesome Aussie adventure where you will encounter some of the unique animals of this continental country and have the option of taking a dip in the billabong.
Manatee Rescue
Join the Zoo’s efforts to help save the manatees. Learn about our unique rescue facilities and spend the night side by side with our incredible gentle giants in the air conditioned Manatee Building.
Nocturnal Adventures
Experience life as an animal of the night! Find out who comes out when the sun goes down as you stalk and slither your way through the Zoo to see nocturnal animals in action.
Rainforest Adventures
Did you know rainforests are home to over half the species of plants and animals in the world? Trek through the Zoo to meet some of the inhabitants of this diverse and delicate ecosystem and join the quest to save this important resource.
GIRL SCOUT BADGES:
Journey with the Zoo during these exciting new sleepovers which meet the following Girl Scout badge requirements:

Program Information:
Cost: $13 per scout. Minimum of 10 scouts or $130. Chaperone Ratios: 1:3 for Daisies; 1:6 for Brownies; 1:8 for Juniors. Extra adults $6.50 each.
All Scout Workshops are 2 hours.
A minimum of 2 weeks advance notice is needed to book a workshop.
Workshops do not include admission into the Zoo. Group ticket rates are available so your Scouts can visit the Zoo after the workshop.
(Please note that the Zoo Girl Scout programs will enhance Girl Scout badge activities, but girls will not actually complete badges.)

Program Information:
Cost: $13 per scout. ($15 for Merit Badge Workshops). Minimum of 10 scouts or $130 ($150 for Merit Badge Workshops). Chaperone Ratios: 1:5 for Cub Scouts and 1:10 for Boy Scouts. Extra adults $6.50 each.
All Scout Workshops are 2 hours, except for Boy Scout Merit Badge Workshops, which are
3 hours.
A minimum of 2 weeks advance notice is needed to book a workshop.
Workshops do not include admission into the Zoo. Group ticket rates are available so your Scouts can visit the Zoo after the workshop.
